Labour Minister Condemns Industrial Action Taken by Air Traffic Controllers
Ministry of Labour and Social Security, Hon. Karl Samuda, in response to industrial action taken by the Air Traffic Controllers represented by the Jamaica Air Traffic Controllers Association, has strongly condemned the action taken as the said matter is currently a dispute before the Industrial Disputes Tribunal and is being addressed therein.
Reports have been received that the Air Traffic Controllers are at work but not carrying out normal duties.
“I am encouraging the Tribunal to take the appropriate steps to ensure normalcy is returned to the country’s airports,” said Minister Samuda.
