Mrs. Audrey Deer-Williams is the Chief Technical Director with responsibility for the Social Security Division of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. In her current position as Chief Technical Director, her role is to oversee, coordinate and direct all the operations of the Social Security Division of the Ministry for the development and implementation of relevant policies, legislations, projects and programmes for an effective social protection system to meet our goals of Vision 2030.
Previously, she was the Chief Technical Director at the National Insurance Fund (NIF), which is the investment arm of the National Insurance Scheme. Her duties included the development and execution of strategies to grow the investment portfolio, which is the single largest pension fund in Jamaica and among the largest in the Caribbean.
She currently serves as a member on the Board of Management of the Jamaica Council for Persons with Disabilities (JCPD). Mrs. Deer-Williams who strongly believes in giving back to her community, serves as a member of the Church Committee at Church of the Transfiguration.
Mrs. Deer-Williams academic achievements include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, specialising in Finance from the University of Manchester and a B.Sc. Degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of the West Indies.
